Scope of Application

This Privacy Policy informs users about the type, scope, and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the responsible provider (see Imprint) on this website (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”).

Access Data / Server Log Files

The provider (or its web hosting provider) collects data about every access to the Service (so-called server log files). Access data includes:

Name of the accessed web page

File, date, and time of access

Transferred data volume

Notification of successful access

Browser type and version

User’s operating system

Referrer URL (previously visited page)

IP address

Requesting provider

The provider uses log data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operation, security, and optimization of the Service. However, the provider reserves the right to check the log data retrospectively if there is a justified suspicion of unlawful use based on concrete evidence.

Handling of Personal Data

Personal data refers to information that can identify an individual, i.e., information that can be traced back to a person. This includes names, email addresses, or telephone numbers, as well as data about preferences, hobbies, memberships, or websites visited by an individual.

Personal data is only collected, used, and disclosed by the provider if this is legally permitted or if the users consent to the collection of such data.

Contacting Us

When users contact the provider (e.g., via contact form or email), their details will be stored for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case follow-up questions arise.

Comments and Posts

When users leave comments on the blog or other posts, their IP addresses are stored. This is for the security of the provider in case someone writes illegal content (e.g., insults, prohibited political propaganda, etc.). In such cases, the provider could be held liable for the comment or post and therefore has an interest in the author’s identity.

Newsletter

We use the newsletter to inform you about us and our offers.

If you wish to receive the newsletter, we require a valid email address and information allowing us to verify that you are the owner of the provided email address or that its owner agrees to receive the newsletter. No further data will be collected. This data will be used solely for sending the newsletter and will not be shared with third parties.

When registering for the newsletter, we store your IP address and the registration date. This storage is solely for proof in the event that a third party misuses an email address and registers without the consent of the rightful owner.

You may revoke your consent to the storage of your data, email address, and its use for sending the newsletter at any time. The revocation can be made via a link in the newsletters themselves, in your profile area, or by notifying us via the above-mentioned contact details.

Integration of Third-Party Services and Content

This Service may include third-party content such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds, or graphics from other websites. This always requires that the providers of such content (“third-party providers”) perceive the user’s IP address since, without the IP address, they would not be able to send the content to the user’s browser. The IP address is therefore required for displaying such content. We endeavor to use only content whose respective providers use the IP address solely for delivering the content. However, we have no influence if third-party providers store the IP address, e.g., for statistical purposes. If we become aware of such practices, we inform users accordingly.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that enable specific device-related information to be stored on the user’s access device (PC, smartphone, etc.). They serve to improve the usability of websites (e.g., storing login data) and for statistical purposes to analyze website usage for optimization purposes. Users can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option to restrict or completely prevent the storage of cookies. However, please note that using and especially the comfort of use may be limited without cookies.
